The Deputy Chief Whip at the State House of Assembly Honourable Dr Babatunde Tella, lauded the Governor when he featured on Family FM’s Political Forum programme on Tuesday in Abeokuta.
The Lawmaker said the Governor’s cooperation has enabled members of the Assembly to discharge their legislative duties more effectively.
Tella added that lawmakers have embraced the leadership change in the House following the election of Rt Honourable Oludaisi Elemide as Speaker, noting that the Assembly has since experienced renewed unity and commitment to service.
He revealed that the former Speaker, Olakunle Oluomo, now attends plenary sessions, adding that proceedings have been running smoothly, while stressing that the harmony currently enjoyed among members is helping to strengthen legislative business in Ogun State as the House of Assembly now passed over 14 bills so far.
His words “ The Governor has renovated the House of Assembly, and that as regards the constituency projects , we have never had it so good and we are still going to have more .
"These are the things we want , we want people to feel our impact because we are the closest to the grassroots. We must be able to show that we are doing something good in the House of Assembly.
“Everything is moving smoothly in the House of Assembly even the former Speaker is also part of us now . We are attending plenaries and everything is going on smoothly”.
