According to a press statement signed by the Council’s Secretary, Comrade Bunmi Adigun, on Monday, the event will provide an open and inclusive platform for dialogue between the candidates and members of the public, with a view to strengthening transparency and public trust in the electoral process.
The engagement, scheduled to hold at 4:00 PM from Tuesday, August 5th to Thursday, August 7th, 2025, will take place at the Olusegun Osoba Hall, Iwe Iroyin House, Okelewo, Abeokuta.
The Statement reads: “The Ogun State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) will host a special engagement series with candidates contesting the upcoming by-election for the Remo Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives.
“The event is designed to provide a platform for open dialogue between the candidates and members of the public, as well as to promote issue-based campaigns ahead of the polls.
