OGUN ASSEMBLY RECEIVES LIST OF NOMINEES FOR SUBEB, FIXES SCREENING FOR WEDNESDAY

Ogun State House of Assembly has received the list of nominees for the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) from the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, seeking their screening and confirmation, and has invited them for screening on Wednesday, 2nd July, 2025 at 11.00am prompt.

The Speaker, Rt. Hon. Oludaisi Elemide, while acknowledging the Governor’s correspondence noted that the nominees included: Hon. Idede Joshua, Barrister Femi Odufowokan, Hon. Isiaka Aderounmu, Rt. Hon. Akeem Balogun, Mrs. Kemi Adeogun, Hon. Wale Adeogun, Hon. Waheed Ogundele, Mr. Stephen Kolawole Odusanya and Hon. Moroof Paramole.

He enjoined all the nominees to submit 30 copies each of their curriculum vitae and other relevant credentials to the Office of the Clerk/ Head of Legislative Service at the Assembly Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, by 9:00 am tomorrow, Wednesday, 2nd of July, 2025.

In the same vein, the Majority Leader, Hon. Yusuf Sherrif, presented a petition on behalf of the Igbala One CDA community in Sango-Ota, alleging that the MD, Intercontinental Distilleries and owner of Solmudia Nigeria Enterprises, one Mr. Patrick Anegbe had erected a fence blocking the only access road and water way in the community, causing severe flooding and disruptions to the residents of the area.

This is just a member representing Ijebu-East State Constituency, Hon. Waliu Owode also submitted a petition against one Mr. AbdulGaniu Quadri on allegations of threats to sell land at Owu-Ijebu, including claims of encroachment on lands belonging to residents of Tokunmaga, Tojoro, and Oke Mene communities.
