Obafemi Owode Local Government will officially commission several completed projects on Monday, June 30, 2025, in a ceremony expected to draw state officials, traditional rulers, and community stakeholders.
According to a press release signed by Prince Segun Soneye, the council’s Director of Information, the event will showcase infrastructure developments executed under the leadership of the Executive Chairman, Amb. Adesina Lanre Ogunsola, FCPA.
Project Commissioning Itinerary:
– 9:00 AM: Motorised Borehole at Derupatan Village, Ajebo Ward
– 11:00 AM: Shopping Mall, Magboro Town
– 12:00 PM: 2 Blocks of 10 Classrooms (with offices, stores, and toilets)
– 2:00 PM: Ogidan Asphalt Road (Phase 1), Owode-Egba
– 3:00 PM: Newly Rehabilitated Legislative Chamber, LG Secretariat
– 4:00 PM: Reception for Guests at the LG Secretariat
The projects, spanning water access, education, commerce, and road infrastructure, highlight the council’s commitment to grassroots development.
Prince Soneye stated that the event will host state delegates, party leaders, royal fathers, and other key stakeholders.
