Super Falcons forward, Rinsola Babajide, has set the tone for an electrifying showdown as Nigeria prepares to face arch-rivals Cameroon in a high-stakes international friendly.
Speaking ahead of the encounter, Babajide described the Indomitable Lionesses as Nigeria’s “biggest rivals” and promised a fierce contest.
“Cameroon is our biggest rival—it’s going to be fire,” Babajide said.
“I will contribute the best I can to the team to help us win. We are staying focused as we don’t want any distractions.”
The match, scheduled for 4 p.m. on Tuesday at the MKO Abiola Sport Arena in Abeokuta, is more than just a friendly—it’s a symbolic clash between two of Africa’s top women’s football giants. Entry is free, courtesy of the Ogun State Government.
Babajide, a dynamic winger who previously represented England at youth level, made her senior debut for Nigeria in October 2023. Since joining the Super Falcons, she has quickly become a fan favorite, thanks to her pace, skill, and commitment.
The Yoruba-born star has featured for top clubs including Liverpool, Millwall Lionesses, Watford, and Brighton & Hove Albion.
