Int’l Friendly: Super Falcons Defeat Cameroon 2-0 in Ogun,As Ajibade Shines with Brace

Nigeria's Super Falcons defeated  Cameroon’s Indomitable Lionesses 2-0 in a friendly encounter played on Tuesday at the MKO Abiola Sports Arena in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, as part of the team's preparation for Women Africa Cup of Nations

Captain Rasheedat Ajibade grabbed a brace in the match, opening scoring from the penalty spot in the 28th minute before 
capitalizing on a swift team move, assisted by Rinsola Babajide to double the lead in the 43rd minute of the opening half 

Reacting, Coach Justine Madugu, described the victory as a good psychological boost for his squad as they continue preparations for the 13th Women AFCON taking place in Morocco, between 5th  and 26th July, 2025

Nigeria will be aiming for a 10th triumph in the competition, having won the trophy nine times since it was launched as a tournament in 1998.

The Super Falcons also won in 1991 and 1995, when it was staged only as
home-and-away FIFA World Cup qualifying games.
