May Day : Ogun Lawmaker, Tella Celebrates Workers,Reaffirms Commitment to Labour Welfare

As Nigeria joins the rest of the world to commemorate International Workers’ Day, Ogun Assembly Member representing Abeokuta North State Constituency, Dr. Tunde Tella, has paid glowing tribute to workers across all sectors for their unwavering commitment and contributions to the growth and development of society.

In a statement released to newsmen on Wednesday, Dr. Tella described workers as “the true engine of our society,” acknowledging their tireless efforts and sacrifices in building the nation. 

“From the farmer in the fields to the teacher in the classroom, from the nurse at the bedside to the artisan on the street — your sweat sustains our progress, and your hands build our future,” he said.

The lawmaker emphasized the need for policies and initiatives that genuinely uplift the welfare of workers and recognize the value of their labour. 

He assured constituents of his unwavering support in advocating for improved working conditions, fair wages, and the protection of workers’ rights.

“As your representative, I remain committed to championing causes that improve working conditions, ensure fair wages, and secure the dignity of every worker in Abeokuta North and Ogun State as a whole,” he pledged.

“May your efforts never be in vain. Together, we will build a just and prosperous society.”
