He made this known during the nomination process held on Friday in Akinale town.
The event was conducted and monitored by the Ewekoro Local Government Chairman, Hon. Isiaka Adesina, who was represented by the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Adewale Aladeselu, alongside other local government officials.
Chief Adediran, who currently serves as the Akinlagun of Owu Kingdom and the Secretary of the Owu Council of Chiefs, emphasized that his primary focus would be on the growth and progress of Akinale if chosen as king.
He highlighted his longstanding commitment to traditional leadership and assured the people of Akinale of his readiness to take the community to the next level.
“I thank God for my family for giving me this opportunity, especially my wife and children. I told them that my Akinale will be number one as my priority ,” Chief Adediran stated.
He added that he has always been passionate about the community’s advancement and is determined to use his experience and influence to bring about meaningful change.
Recalling the legacy of the late Towulade of Akinale, Oba Dr. Olufemi Ogunleye, who joined his ancestors at the age of 79, Chief Adediran expressed his respect for the former monarch while pledging to build on his achievements.
He assured the people that he has the capacity and experience required to lead Akinale into a new era of progress.
As part of his vision for the community, Chief Adediran promised to prioritize education, noting that many families have had to leave Akinale for their children to further their studies.
“The head of my family, after finishing primary six, had to leave Akinale to continue their education. Even the late Kabiyesi faced similar circumstances.
“By God’s grace, if I become king, our children will have the opportunity to attend secondary school within this community,” he said.
To actualize this goal, he pledged to work towards establishing a secondary school in Akinale, ensuring that young people in the community have access to quality education without having to relocate.
He emphasized that education is a key driver of development and that Akinale would greatly benefit from improved learning opportunities.
In addition to education, Chief Adediran outlined plans to enhance infrastructure and general development in the town.
He stressed that his leadership would focus on creating better living conditions for the people of Akinale by attracting investments and developmental projects to the area.
He also acknowledged the support of former President Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, whom he credited for playing a significant role in his recognition as Akinlagun Balogun of Owu Kingdom.
He expressed his gratitude for the mentorship and guidance he has received, which he believes has prepared him for greater leadership responsibilities.
Chief Adediran revealed that he has head several committees in Owu anomg them is Oba Saka Matemilola Annual Football Competition, Olowu Sport Commission among others.
He noted that these experiences have strengthened his leadership skills and further equipped him with the knowledge needed to serve Akinale effectively.
As the nomination process progresses, Chief Adediran called on the people of Akinale to support his ambition, assuring them that he would be a king dedicated to their welfare.
He reaffirmed his commitment to make Akinale a model community with improved education, infrastructure, and economic opportunities.
Chief Oluseyi Adediran expressed his deep appreciation to the Olowu of Owu, Oba Saka Adelola Matemilola, for his mentorship and guidance.
He acknowledged that working closely with the Olowu has provided him with valuable insights into leadership and traditional governance.
He assured the people of Akinale that he would apply the same dedication and wisdom he has gained under the Olowu’s tutelage to lead Akinale towards growth and prosperity.
He further emphasized that his kingship would not be a one-man effort but a collective mission involving all stakeholders in the community.
“With our collective efforts, we will all make Akinale great again,” he assured.
Chief Adediran promised to promote unity, development, and cultural heritage while fostering a progressive environment where the people of Akinale can thrive.
Chief Adediran’s nomination was backed by prominent figures in Akinale, further solidifying his credibility as a strong contender for the throne.
He was recommended by Chief Emmanuel Adio Adediran, the Baba Oba of Akinale, and his nomination was seconded by Chief Gani Faleti, the Bobajiroro of Akinale.
