The gesture, which is part of Hon. Ogunji's efforts to give back to his community, saw him visit different primary schools to distribute big notes of 60 leaves, 40 leaves, and higher education materials to pupils.
Hon. Ogunji, who hails from Igbo Edu village in Makun Irokun Ward, expressed his gratitude to God, Governor Dapo Abiodun, and the Executive Chairman of Ogun Waterside Local Government, Hon. Mudashir AbdulLateef Adekunle, for the opportunity to serve.
He emphasized the importance of education and the need to support pupils, who are the leaders of tomorrow, with necessary materials to aid their learning.
The Executive Secretary, Ogun Waterside Local Government Education Authority (LGEA), Mr. Onaniyi, commended Hon. Ogunji's efforts and urged others to emulate his gesture, especially during the current harsh economic situation.
Headteachers and pupils in the visited schools expressed their appreciation for the kind gesture, which they noted would linger in their memories.
