Ogunsola Commissions 1.3km Oluwo-Mango-Adigbe Road, Shops, Classrooms in Obafemi Owode

The Executive Chairman of Obafemi Owode Local Government, Amb. Adesina 'Lanre Ogunsola, FCPA, has commissioned three strategic projects in fulfilment of his electioneering promises to the people of Kajola Ward, Moloko-Asipa and the Oluwo/Adigbe axis of Oba Ward.

The projects commissioned include the construction of 1.3-kilometre asphalt road linking Oluwo, Mango and Adigbe; the construction of ten lock-up shops at Kajola Market; and a block of two classrooms with an office at United Anglican Primary School, Moloko-Asipa.

Speaking during the commissioning ceremony, Amb. Ogunsola described the projects as another significant step in his administration's commitment to delivering purposeful governance and ensuring that the dividends of democracy reach every community across Obafemi Owode Local Government.
According to the Council Chairman, the construction of the Oluwo/Mango/Adigbe asphalt road will improve connectivity, ease the movement of people and goods, enhance economic activities and bring lasting relief to residents and motorists within the axis.

He noted that the ten lock-up shops at Kajola Market were constructed to promote commerce, provide a more conducive environment for traders and contribute to the economic development of the community.

Amb. Ogunsola also emphasised the importance of investing in education, describing the newly constructed block of two classrooms and office at United Anglican Primary School, Moloko-Asipa, as a demonstration of his administration's commitment to providing a conducive learning environment for pupils and teachers.
The Chairman reaffirmed his determination to continue executing people-oriented projects across all wards of the Local Government, stressing that his administration remains committed to prudent management of resources and the equitable distribution of developmental projects.

Amb. Ogunsola, however, appealed to the Federal Government through the State Government to expedite the completion of the ongoing construction of the Abeokuta/Kajola/Ajebo road.

He noted that the completion of the strategic road project would significantly improve transportation, boost commercial activities, facilitate access to neighbouring communities and further stimulate socio-economic development within the area.
The Council Chairman expressed optimism that the State Government would give the project the necessary attention and ensure its timely completion for the benefit of the people and motorists who ply the route.

Residents, community leaders, market women and other stakeholders who witnessed the commissioning ceremonies expressed appreciation to Amb. Ogunsola and his administration for fulfilling promises and bringing development closer to the people.

Amb. Ogunsola assured the people of Obafemi Owode Local Government that his administration would remain focused, responsive and committed to delivering more impactful projects and programmes aimed at improving the welfare and quality of life of the people.
Speaking at the commissioning, Honourable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Ogun State, Hon. Ganiu Hamzat, representing His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON commended Amb. Ogunsola for the judicious spending of the Local Government fund, stressing that non of the projects is a misplaced priority.

He therefore appealed to the communities where the projects were sited to maintain the good use of the edifice, and remain supportive to the All Progress Congress, particularly in the coming general election to enable them enjoy continuous robust dividends of democracy across sectors of governance.

The event had political bigwigs in attendance, including Engr. Babatunde Akeem Adesina, Special Adviser to the Governor on Public works, Alhaji Emilola Gazal, former ALGON Chairman in Ogun State and other political leaders in Obafemi Owode Local Government.
