Oba Adediran, in a congratulatory message issued to newsmen on Tuesday,described the appointment of Alake as a significant development for the traditional institution in Ogun State, expressing confidence in his wealth of experience, wisdom and commitment to the unity and peaceful coexistence of traditional rulers across the state.
The Towulade said the new chairman possesses the qualities required to provide effective leadership for the Council of Obas and strengthen cooperation among traditional rulers in the state.
According to him, “We are confident that Baba will continue to play his great role in promoting peaceful coexistence among traditional rulers in Ogun State. His wealth of experience and commitment to the traditional institution will undoubtedly contribute immensely to the unity and progress of our royal fathers.”
Oba Adediran commended the Alake for his contributions to the development of the traditional institution, saying his new responsibility provides another opportunity for him to promote stronger relationships among the state government and traditional rulers.
He said, “We look forward to seeing Baba use this new position to further strengthen the relationship between the traditional councils and the state government, while also fostering cordial relationships among the various traditional institutions across Ogun State.”
The Towulade stressed that unity and mutual respect among traditional rulers remained essential to sustaining peace, stability and development in the state.
He urged members of the Ogun State Council of Obas to give the new chairman their full cooperation and support, noting that a united traditional institution would be better positioned to contribute meaningfully to governance and community development.
Oba Adediran also commended the leadership of Governor Dapo Abiodun for creating an atmosphere conducive to the traditional institution to operate effectively and contribute to the peace and development of the state.
He said the cordial relationship between the Ogun State Government and traditional rulers had remained critical to maintaining peace, stability and development across the state.
According to him, “We appreciate the administration of Governor Dapo Abiodun for the respect and recognition accorded the traditional institution in Ogun State. His administration has continued to engage our traditional rulers as important stakeholders in governance, peace-building and community development.”
The Towulade expressed confidence that the new leadership of the Council of Obas would further consolidate the existing relationship between the traditional institution and the state government.
He also acknowledged the contributions of the Paramount Ruler of Remo Land, Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi , describing the leadership and wisdom of the revered monarch as important to the unity and peaceful coexistence of traditional rulers in Ogun State.
Oba Adediran noted that the cooperation and mutual respect among the Alake, the Paramount Ruler of Remo Land, the Olu of Ilaro and other traditional rulers remained essential to the continued progress of the state.
“We must continue to work together as custodians of our people’s culture, history and values. The unity among the traditional rulers of Ogun State is a great asset, and we must preserve it for the benefit of our people and future generations,” he stated.
The Towulade further congratulated the Olu of Ilaro and Paramount Ruler of Yewaland on his tenure, commending him for what he described as an indelible record of achievements and peaceful memories.
