The Ogun State Chapter of the Nigerian Youth Alliance for Tinubu (NYAT) has intensified its stakeholder engagement drive with a courtesy and familiarisation visit to the Ogun State All Progressives Congress (APC) Youth Leader, Comrade (Hon.) Aremu Babatunde, as part of efforts to strengthen relationships, foster strategic partnerships and enhance youth mobilisation across the state.
The delegation, led by the NYAT Ogun State Coordinator, Prince (Hon.) Taiwo Olusegun, said the engagement was part of the chapter’s deliberate initiative to establish meaningful partnerships with key political stakeholders, improve grassroots coordination and create stronger channels of communication among youth and political structures across Ogun State.
*AAWARD OF EXCELLENCE*
A major highlight of the visit was the presentation of an Award of Excellence in Youth Leadership & Grassroots Mobilisation to Comrade (Hon.) Aremu Babatunde.
The award was presented in recognition of his leadership, commitment to youth development, grassroots engagement, mentorship and service to the youth constituency of Ogun State.
The NYAT Ogun State leadership described the honour as more than a ceremonial recognition, stressing that it was intended to appreciate exemplary leadership and encourage continued commitment to the development and empowerment of young people.
Receiving the delegation and the honour, the State APC Youth Leader welcomed the initiative and expressed his readiness to maintain a cordial relationship with NYAT Ogun State while exploring areas of cooperation capable of advancing youth participation and strengthening political structures across the state.
His response, according to the NYAT delegation, represents an encouraging foundation for establishing a sustainable working relationship between the organisation and the State APC Youth Leadership.
*NYAT REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO YOUTH MOBILISATION*
Speaking during the engagement, the NYAT Ogun State Coordinator explained that the organisation is focused on mobilising and organising young Nigerians for responsible political participation, leadership development, grassroots engagement, youth empowerment, civic awareness and support for progressive governance.
He stated that the Ogun State chapter was committed to building a strong, disciplined, inclusive and functional youth structure from the ward level through the local government areas to the state level.
According to him, NYAT’s activities would be anchored on peaceful mobilisation, strategic partnerships, youth inclusion, grassroots organisation, responsible political participation and service to the people, rather than political violence, intimidation or divisive practices.
The organisation also reaffirmed its support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and the Renewed Hope Agenda, with a commitment to mobilising support for the continuity of the administration and its programmes through the 2027 General Elections and towards 2031, subject to applicable electoral and constitutional processes.
