The Central Coordinate Movement (CCM), a major support group backing Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as YAYI, stole the show on Monday at the Senator’s 57th birthday anniversary, turning the celebration into a powerful display of grassroots mobilisation and political solidarity.
The colourful presence of CCM members at the event underscored the growing strength of the movement and its determination to stand firmly behind Senator Adeola as he prepares to contest for the governorship of Ogun State in the 2027 general elections.
Leading the charge was the CCM State Chairman, Alhaji Chief Taiwo Elewide, popularly known as the “Big Champion Akile Egba,” who described YAYI as a leader with the political capacity, experience and grassroots connection required to take Ogun State to the next level.
Elewide said YAYI’s 57th birthday was more than a celebration of age, stressing that it was an opportunity for supporters across the state to reaffirm their confidence in the Senator’s leadership and political vision.
“YAYI is a tested and trusted political leader. At 57, he has built a record of service and demonstrated that he understands the people. CCM is solidly behind him, and we will continue to mobilise from the grassroots for the journey ahead,” Elewide declared.
Meanwhile the Chief Executive Officer of Dimofeshy Multi-Investment Nigeria Limited who is also the CCM Chairman in Diaspora, Alhaji Odewole Oladimeji Monsuru popularly known as “Tambo Kuba”, also joined the celebration, describing Adeola as a politician whose influence and acceptability had continued to attract supporters beyond the shores of Ogun State.
Odewole said the diaspora arm of CCM would continue to mobilise support for YAYI, noting that the Senator’s birthday provided an opportunity to celebrate his achievements while strengthening the movement ahead of the 2027 political contest.
Also speaking, the CCM Chairman in Abeokuta North Local Government,Alhaji Kazeem Olatunji, popularly known as Alaga, said the massive turnout of members was a clear demonstration that YAYI enjoys strong grassroots support across Ogun State.
“What you are seeing today is not a rented crowd. These are committed supporters who believe in YAYI. CCM is organised, mobilised and ready. We are taking the message of YAYI to every ward, community and polling unit,” Alaga said.
The CCM leaders reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the movement’s grassroots structures and mobilising more supporters for YAYI’s 2027 governorship project, declaring that the Senator’s 57th birthday had further energised the group for the political battle ahead.
