A political support group, Zee 1 for Yayi, has called on Nigerians, particularly the people of Ogun State, to rally behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027, while also throwing its weight behind Senator Olamilekan Adeola’s governorship ambition and Governor Dapo Abiodun’s senatorial bid for Ogun East.
The group, led by its founder, Ambassador Ayomikun Azeez Ibrahim, made the call on Friday in Abeokuta while outlining what it described as a strategic political direction aimed at sustaining development at both the national and state levels.
Amb. Ibrahim said the support for the trio was based on their records of service, leadership capacity and commitment to governance.
According to him, President Tinubu deserves a second term in office to consolidate ongoing reforms and development programmes across the country.
“President Bola Tinubu should be supported for re-election because his administration is laying a strong foundation for economic recovery, national stability and sustainable growth,” Ibrahim said.
Speaking on Ogun State politics ahead of the 2027 general elections, the Zee 1 for Yayi founder urged the electorate to back Senator Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, for governor of Ogun State, describing him as a tested and experienced leader with the capacity to take the state to greater heights.
He noted that Adeola’s track record in public service, particularly in the National Assembly, had distinguished him as a grassroots politician with a passion for people-oriented development.
“Senator Olamilekan Adeola has demonstrated competence, courage and commitment to the welfare of the people. We believe he is well prepared to provide purposeful leadership for Ogun State in 2027”.
The group also endorsed Governor Dapo Abiodun for the Ogun East Senatorial seat, saying his experience as governor would be invaluable in representing the district at the National Assembly after the completion of his tenure as governor.
Amb. Ibrahim maintained that Abiodun’s administration had recorded achievements in infrastructure, education, economic development and social welfare.
“Prince Dapo Abiodun has shown capacity in governance and has remained committed to the development of Ogun State. We believe his experience and leadership qualities will be an asset to Ogun East at the Senate,” he said, adding that continuity of progressive leadership remains critical to the future of the state.
Ibrahim therefore appealed to party faithful, stakeholders and the general electorate to close ranks and support the three leaders and other APC candidates insisting that their emergence in 2027 would guarantee continuity, stability and more dividends of democracy for the people.
He added that Zee 1 for Yayi would continue mobilising support across Ogun State to ensure the realization of what he described as a shared political vision for Ogun State and Nigeria at large.
