The Executive Chairman of Obafemi Owode Local Government Amb. Adesina 'Lanre Ogunsola has undertaken an inspection visit to the Imedu Nla community in the Mowe axis of Ofada Ward, Obafemi Owode Local Government. The purpose of this visit is to initiate the construction of approximately 150 meters of road connecting Jalogun Palace Road with other adjacent streets.
Ogunsola revealed that the recently approved road project will represent the third asphalt road completed within less than three years of his tenure in the council area.
He stated that the road construction will be executed through the direct labor of the Department of Works and Housing, Obafemi Owode Local Government.
This initiative aimed to complement the State Governor, His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, in his efforts to enhance infrastructural development across various sectors of government.
The engineers are expected to commence work on the site once the project funds are released, following the financial management meeting's approval for the construction of the asphalt road at Jalogun Palace Road, extending to the major Lagos/Ibadan Expressway, Mowe axis,while he assured other communities,towns and wards in Obafemi Owode Local Government area of consideration,as dividends of democracy is for all.
His Royal Highness, Oba Jimoh Adegbenro Adebayo, Olu Imedu Nla, expressed gratitude to the government for approving the road projects, noting that the road will enhance the standard of living in the area, as Mowe serves as a gateway to other commercial states, such as Lagos and Oyo.
He further assured the government of their continued support and readiness to provide any necessary assistance needed by the ruling party in the forthcoming election.
Similarly, Chief Nurudeen Aina Alowonle, Babaloja of Mowe Market, praised the significant achievements of Amb. Adesina 'Lanre Ogunsola, FCPA, in constructing two major asphalt roads in Owode and Adigbe, now extending the list to include Mowe.
Immediately after the inspection of road, the Executive Chairman held a crucial security meeting in his office with military officers led by Warrant officer Obi Lawrence,where he admonished them to be more responsive in some areas like Magbon Etido,Ogunmakin/Ajebo, Interchange and other areas of security concerns within Obafemi Owode Local Government in order to fostall menace of banditry, kidnapping and other security challenges, while promised more logistic supports at all time.
