The Deputy Chief Whip and Lawmaker representing Abeokuta North State Constituency, Hon. Babatunde Tella has called on Christians to use the Easter season as a period of prayer and reflection for the peace, unity, and progress of Nigeria.
In his Easter message to constituents and Christians across Ogun State, the lawmaker emphasized the significance of the season, describing it as a reminder of sacrifice, love, and hope.
He urged citizens to draw inspiration from the teachings of Jesus Christ and remain steadfast in faith despite the nation’s challenges.
“Nigeria is at a crucial stage where collective prayers and responsible actions are needed to foster national development.
“Easter provides an opportunity for citizens to renew their commitment to peaceful coexistence and national unity”.
He encouraged Christians to pray for the country’s leaders at all levels, asking God to grant them wisdom, strength, and compassion in addressing socio-economic challenges.
The Deputy Chief Whip also urged Nigerians to show love and kindness to one another during the festive period, especially to the less privileged stating the importance of supporting vulnerable members of society as a practical demonstration of the Easter message.
Tella further appealed to residents of Abeokuta North to maintain peace and uphold the values of tolerance and harmony within their communities.
He reiterated his commitment to delivering quality representation and development-focused initiatives for his constituency.
