Easter: Ogun Central Senatorial Aspirant Soyoola Urges Christians to Embrace Love, Virtues of Christ

An Ogun Central Senatorial aspirant, Emmanuel Olusola Soyoola, has called on Christians to reflect deeply on the lessons of Easter and live according to the teachings and virtues of Jesus Christ.

He made the call in an Easter message made available to journalists on Sunday.

Soyoola described Easter as a sacred period that symbolizes sacrifice, hope, renewal, and unconditional love.

He urged believers to go beyond celebration and focus on the spiritual significance of the season, which he said remains a guiding light for peaceful coexistence and unity in society.

According to him, “Easter reminds us of the ultimate sacrifice made out of love for humanity. It is a powerful lesson in compassion, humility, and selflessness that we must strive to reflect in our daily lives.”

The senatorial hopeful emphasized the need for Nigerians, particularly residents of Ogun State, to use the period to promote peace, kindness, and tolerance across religious and ethnic lines.

He noted that the teachings of Christ remain relevant in addressing many of the social and moral challenges facing the nation.

“Now more than ever, our country needs the message of love, forgiveness, and unity. If we truly practice these virtues, we can build stronger communities and create a future filled with hope for the next generation,” Soyoola said.

He further encouraged Christians to extend acts of charity to the less privileged, stressing that supporting the vulnerable reflects the true essence of Easter adding that showing care and empathy to others would help foster harmony and strengthen societal bonds.

Soyoola wished Christians in Ogun State and across Nigeria a joyful Easter celebration, praying that the season brings renewed faith, peace, and prosperity to families and the nation at large.
