Renewed Hope Agenda: Arewa Leaders Visit Ekiti Governor, Gain Major Support

Hon. Muhammad Umar, former Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to former Osun State Governor Adegboyega Oyetola on Non-Indigene Affairs, has disclosed details of a recent strategic engagement by the Arewa Community in the South West under the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Speaking on the development, Umar explained that he, alongside other coordinators of the Renewed Hope Agenda for the Arewa Community in the South West, paid a courtesy visit to the Governor of Ekiti State, His Excellency, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji. The delegation was led by the Director General of Arewa, Alhaji Shehu Sampam.

According to Umar, the visit yielded significant outcomes, as Governor Oyebanji generously allocated Hajj slots to members of the Arewa Community and donated a bus to support their activities. 

He described the governor’s gesture as a demonstration of goodwill, inclusiveness, and commitment to the welfare of diverse communities within the region.

During the visit, Governor Oyebanji also inaugurated a Campaign Committee for the Arewa Community, with Hon. Muhammad Umar appointed as the head of the committee. 

Umar expressed appreciation for the confidence reposed in him and reaffirmed his commitment to mobilizing support and strengthening political engagement among the Arewa Community.

Furthermore, Umar stated that the Arewa Community in the South West is fully committed to supporting the Osun State governorship aspiration of Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO). 

He described Oyebamiji as a leader of integrity, competence, and vision, capable of delivering purposeful governance for the people of Osun State.

He added that the community’s endorsement is driven by Oyebamiji’s track record, leadership qualities, and dedication to inclusive development, urging stakeholders and residents to rally behind his ambition for the progress of the state.
