Alhaji Umar Mohammad, erstwhile Senior Special Assistant on Non-Indigenes to former Governor Adegboyega Oyetola and Coordinator of Arewa Community APC in Osun State, led a delegation on a condolence visit to Alhaji Abdul Kabir, Director-General of the Ajisope Initiative Foundation, over the death of his brother, Hon. Niyi, popularly known as Ola Adua.
Beyond the condolence, discussions during the visit focused on the political future of Osun State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Stakeholders at the meeting expressed strong confidence in AMBO’s leadership qualities, describing him as a capable, visionary, and unifying candidate with the capacity to deliver good governance across the state.
The delegation reaffirmed its belief that AMBO’s governorship ambition represents continuity of progressive governance, building on the foundations laid by the APC while expanding opportunities for inclusive development across ethnic and regional groups in Osun State.
A key outcome of the engagement was the commitment to strengthening the inclusion of the Arewa Community in governance under an AMBO-led administration.
Leaders at the meeting emphasized that his leadership would foster fairness, representation, and integration of all groups in policy-making and state development.
Also discussed was the broader political outlook for the APC at both state and national levels, Hon. Umar expressed optimism about President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election in 2027
The visit was attended by notable Arewa Community leaders, including the Chairman of Arewa Community APC Osun State, Malam Garba Gambo, and the Public Relations Officer, Sulaiman Bala. The delegation pledged continued mobilization and grassroots support to ensure AMBO’s victory and the sustained progress of Osun State.
