The late Alhaji Soremekun, popularly known as Alhaji Minilo, was reported to have passed on today after a brief illness, a development that has thrown members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ward 8, Abeokuta South Local Government, into mourning.
In a condolence message Hon. Jiboku described the death as a shocking and painful loss, not only to the Soremekun family but also to the APC and the entire Abeokuta South political community.
He noted that the late Alhaji Soremekun was a strong grassroots mobiliser, a committed party man, and a leader who devoted his time and resources to the growth of the party and the development of his community.
According to Jiboku, Alhaji Soremekun’s contributions to political stability and unity within Abeokuta South will be remembered for years, adding that his leadership style earned him respect across party lines.
The assembly aspirant extended his heartfelt condolences to the immediate family, friends, political associates, and members of APC Ward 8, urging them to take solace in the impactful life the deceased lived.
He prayed that Almighty Allah forgives the shortcomings of the late Alhaji Taofeek Alani Soremekun and grants him eternal rest, while also asking God to grant the family and loved ones the strength to bear the irreparable loss.
