CONYSSA Congratulates Amb. Wale Olanrewaju on Re-Election as Ogun NUJ Chairman

The Coalition of Nigerian Youth on Security and Safety Affairs (CONYSSA) has congratulated Comrade Wale Olanrewaju on his return as Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ogun State Council. 

Comrade Wale Olanrewaju who is the state Ambassador of CONYSSA emerged unopposed in a peaceful election held at the NUJ Secretariat, Oke Ilewo, Abeokuta on Thursday.

In a congratulatory message made available to newsmen on Friday, the Ogun State Coordinator of CONYSSA, Aare Commander Oluwafemi Akinrombi, lauded Amb. Olanrewaju for what he described as a well-deserved victory. 

He noted that the chairman’s return reflects his outstanding performance and unwavering commitment to the welfare of media practitioners in the state.

Akinrombi emphasized that Olanrewaju’s leadership has contributed significantly to improving the standards of journalism and strengthening media professionalism within the state. 

He added that the NUJ chairman has shown consistent dedication toward fostering unity among journalists and promoting responsible reportage.

The CONYSSA Ogun Coordinator further expressed confidence that Olanrewaju will build on the achievements recorded during his previous tenure. 

He urged him to continue advancing reforms that will enhance ethical journalism, capacity building, and stronger collaboration between the media and security agencies.

Akinrombi also reaffirmed CONYSSA’s commitment to working closely with the media sector in promoting safety awareness, public enlightenment, and youth engagement, especially in matters relating to national security and societal peace.

He wished Wale Olanrewaju a successful tenure ahead, stating that his leadership will continue to play a pivotal role in shaping a vibrant and responsible media landscape in Ogun State.
