The Award Ceremony was held at the early hours of Wednesday, 22nd October,2025 to decorates the most outstanding performing Local Government Chairman out of 774 Local Governments in Nigeria, in reality to their performances within one year in Office.
Amb. Ogunsola, FCPA who had proved his worth beyond doubt, having certified by the NIgerian National Merit Award was decorated by the Federal Minister of Agriculture , Senator Abubakar Kiari in Abuja.
Speaking at the Award Ceremony, Amb. Ogunsola, FCPA thanked the Ogun State Governor, for believing in his candidature, as he acknowledged his support and trust reposed in him as the Executive Chairman, Obafemi Owode Local Government for second term in office. While he dedicated the Awards to His Excellency, Prince Dr. Dapo Abiodun, CON with an assurances of not relenting in his dedication to serve the interest of the party and the good people of Obafemi Owode Local Government.
Furthermore, Amb. Ogunsola, thanked the people of Obafemi Owode Local Government for their cooperation,as he also dedicated the Awards to God almighty and the continuous growth and development of the council area.
He further appreciated the supports from Senator representing Ogun Central, Senator Shuaib Afolabi Salisu,Ogun Central and Hon. Afolabi Afuape, Member, Federal House of Representatives, representing Abeokuta South Local Government Federal Constituency.
While he received Electricity Power Generator as part of the Star prizes,as the Best Local Government Chairman for quality leadership through service delivery and accountability and the 3rd Best Local Government in the whole 774 local governments in Nigeria.
Chief Bayode Ojo, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, LOGMA Award, urged the Federal Government to sustain the Supreme Court judgement on the full implementation of Local Government Autonomy to enable the third tier of government to function effectively.
He further congratulated the council boss that proved outstanding in Nigeria.
