In recognition of their outstanding performance, Ita Iyalode Football Team emerged champions of the competition, securing the coveted first position after a thrilling series of matches.
Owutedo Football Team clinched the second spot, while Owu Akinale Football Team settled for third place. The Owu Ogbe Football Team came fourth after putting up a commendable fight.
The monarch presented prizes to the winners, emphasizing that the gesture was not just to celebrate their victory but also to encourage them to remain focused, disciplined, and hardworking both on and off the field.
He added that sporting activities such as football could provide opportunities for youths to build promising careers and bring honour to Owu land.
Oba Matemilola urged the players to see the tournament as a stepping stone to greater heights, charging them to avoid vices and remain good ambassadors of their communities.
He assured the youths of his continued support in areas of sports, education, and empowerment.
The coordinator of the competition, the Towulade of Owu Akinale, Oba Oluseyi Adediran, praised Oba Matemilola for his commitment to youth development and community unity.
