The Party chairman disclosed this while addressing news men on Sunday in Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital.
Alhaja Sarumi Akintunde described Elegbeji’s victory as a testament to the trust and confidence reposed in her by the people of the constituency and a reflection of the growing acceptance of the APC in Ogun State.
She commended the electorate for coming out en masse to support the APC candidate, noting that the triumph was not just for Elegbeji but for the entire progressive family.
“On behalf of the leadership and members of our great party in Abeokuta North, I warmly congratulate Princess Adesola Elegbeji on her well-deserved victory. This is a clear indication of the people’s belief in her capacity to provide quality representation and in the APC’s commitment to good governance,” the party chairman said.
While urging Elegbeji to justify the confidence of the people by delivering dividends of democracy, Alhaja Sarumi Akintunde assured her of the full support of the APC family across Ogun State.
She commended Governor Dapo Abiodun and the APC leadership in the state for providing the enabling environment that ensured a peaceful and credible election.
