FG to Tap Into Obasanjo’s OOPL Legacy to Rebuild Economy Through Creative Industry

The Federal Government has reaffirmed its commitment to rebuilding the nation's economy through diversification into the creative economy. 

The Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musa Musawa, disclosed this during a visit to former President Olusegun Obasanj o in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital on Monday.

Speaking to newsmen at the sideline of the visit, Musawa stated that the diversification plan aims to empower Nigerian youths in culture, tourism, and creativity to give the country an edge globally. 

The Minister who took a tour of the OOPL's museum, library and gallery stated that the Federal is currently working on creating a long term and  sustainable economy within the culture and tradition and creative landscape, hence, the need to visit the OOPL.

She stressed "In president Bola Ahmed Tinubu's vision and mission to create something long term and  sustainable within the culture and tradition and creative landscape it important for us to do a holistic research around the country's  and wherever there is a treasure of who we are as a country. 

"I know the contribution that baba has made not just in national service but to African service but for me I see this as a Nigerian duty. It is important for us as Nigerians to look at our sheered future as one.

"I have been more empowered. It's all about me trying to deliver, trying to give Nigerians what President  Tinubu  has for them and using the diversification approach he has in building the government which is creativity, culture, tradition, turism as a way to build the economy.

 Musawa also apted on the importance of culture, tradition, and tourism in building the economy and creating, noting that Obasanjo's contributions to national and African service were a testament to the impact one person can have.

The minister said the federal government's diversification approach is focusing on creativity, culture, tradition, and tourism to build the economy. 

Her words "I have known about the museum, about the library, but I needed to come and see it first hand. To see how we can improve on our own framework that we have put in place. 

"This is giving me a very long term idea of the vision that the president has, whereby I wants to do this leveraging, improve the economy, job creation, capacity building and so much for unity as a nation just because of our culture.
