Eid-el-Kabir: APC Abeokuta North Chairman Celebrates with Muslim Faithful

The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abeokuta North Local Government, Alhaja Faidat Sarumi Akintunde, has extended warm greetings to Muslim faithful in celebration of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir festival.

In a goodwill message released to commemorate the significant Islamic occasion, Alhaja Sarumi Akintunde expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for the gift of life and the opportunity to witness another Eid in peace and unity.

She called on all Muslims to reflect on the values of sacrifice, obedience, and faith, which the festival symbolizes.

She emphasized the importance of religious tolerance, urging both Muslims and non-Muslims to continue coexisting in harmony.

“Eid-el-Kabir reminds us of Prophet Ibrahim’s unwavering faith and total submission to God’s will. Let us emulate this example in our daily lives and continue to promote love, unity, and peace in our communities,” she said.

The APC Chairman noted that the occasion should also serve as a time for sharing, compassion, and support for the less privileged.

She encouraged those who are blessed with means to remember their neighbors, especially the poor, the elderly, and the vulnerable, in the spirit of the season.

Alhaja  Faidat Sarumi Akintunde commended the Muslim community in Abeokuta North for their continued support for the APC and for maintaining peace across the local government area.

She assured constituents that the party remains committed to grassroots development and the well-being of every citizen.

Speaking further, she reiterated the importance of prayers for the leadership at all levels, noting that the success of the nation lies in the collective effort of its people.

“Let us not forget to pray for our leaders , from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to Governor Dapo Abiodun and our local government officials so that they can continue to lead with wisdom and the fear of God,” she added.

As celebrations continue across the state, the chairman called on residents to celebrate with modestly and obey all public safety regulations.

She reminded the public to be vigilant and security-conscious throughout the festivities.

“I wish all Muslim faithful a joyous, safe, and spiritually fulfilling Eid-el-Kabir celebration”.
