In a landmark event that marked another milestone ,residents of Harmony Community Development Association (CDA), on Saturday, unanimously ratified a new 15-man executive committee to pilot the affairs of the community for the next four years.
This was disclosed in a statement signed by the new Public Relations officer of the CDA, Taofeek Ogunkunle anipr.
The new leadership, which emerged in accordance with the constitutional provisions of the CDA ensuring a free, fair and credible transition, is to be led by Engr. Kayode Adedigba, who now serves as Chairman.
The historic transition took place during the June edition of the Harmony CDA general meeting, where the outgoing Chairman, Chief J.O. Oloyede, officially handed over the reins after serving two years in a protem capacity and six years as substantive Chairman.
In his farewell address, Chief Oloyede appreciated all residents for their unwavering support throughout his tenure and conveyed the message of the Abeokuta North Urban Area Community Development Council (ACDC) regarding the smooth electoral process.
Following consultations with the Council of Elders, Chief Oloyede pronounced the new list of executives. A motion for the adoption and ratification of the new leaders was moved by Mr. Abodunrin Daramola and seconded by Mr. S.A. Fadeyi.
The newly ratified executive committee members are as follows:

Treasurer – Dr Femi Ogunnenika Femi

Auditor – Mr. Tijani Odunayo
Public Relations Officer (PRO) – Mr. Ogunkunle Taofeek anipr
Woman Representative – Mrs. D. Aladeyelu
Youth Representative – Mr. Ogunbowale Emmanuel
Chief Security Officer (CSO) – Mr. Taofeek Oguntade
Social Welfare Officer – Mrs. Bola Kelani
Legal Adviser – Barr. Obafemi S.A

In his goodwill message, Pastor Agosu of CCC Ekundayo Parish urged residents to rally around the new executives and offer even greater support than before.
Outgoing Financial Secretary, Mr. Adebayo B.O., also encouraged the new leadership to serve with integrity, diligence, and commitment to community progress.
Prayers were offered for both the outgoing and incoming executives.
In another development during the meeting, delegates representing a proposed new community, Harmony Phase 2, introduced themselves.
They expressed appreciation for being considered to form a new CDA from the existing Harmony structure, signaling continued growth and development in the area.
