NSF 2024: Omolola Tobiloba Clinches Ogun First Swimming Gold Medal

In a thrilling display of aquatic prowess, Omolola Tobiloba, representing Team Ogun, claimed the state’s first gold medal in swimming at the MKO Abiola Sports Arena.

She dominated the 800 meters Freestyle Women event, outpacing stiff competition from traditional powerhouses Delta and Bayelsa states.

The 16-lap event saw Omolola complete the course well ahead of her opponents, sending the crowd into raptures.

The Ogun State fans, joined by Director-General of the National Sports Commission, Honourable Bukola Olopade, erupted in joy, singing the Ogun State anthem, “ISEYA,” in celebration of Omolola’s remarkable achievement.

This impressive win marks a significant milestone for Team Ogun and sets the tone for a strong showing in the competition with Omolola’s success expected to  inspire more victories for Team Ogun.
