As part of the fulfillments of his electioneering promises to the indigenes and residents by providing measures to prove the commitments of service delivery, the Executive Chairman, Obafemi Owode Local Government, Amb. Adesina 'Lanre Ogunsola FCPA has began the grading of roads across the 12 wards in the council area.
Speaking at the site of the gradings, Amb. Ogunsola stressed that the exercise was part of the programme mapped out at this period to ameliorates the yearnings of some residents on the effect of bad roads in some part of the communities which has posed a lot of challenges to the carriage of farm produce and other materials in their areas.
He disclosed that despite the paucity of fund, he had decided to prioritize the gradings as part of palliative measure, if the local government can not afford an asphalt road placement at this period, it is better to grade for smooth accessibility.
Batolu Village, as the first place to kick start the grading of roads. Mr.Adebayo David, Chairman Community Development Associations (CDA),expressed their profound appreciation to the Governor, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON and the Executive Chairman, Amb.Ogunsola Adesina Lanre, FCPA for the gesture, as he prayed for success in their various endeavours.
The council boss further assured the residents of the council area of a robust dividend democracy, as he is dedicated to fulfill all his electioneering promises to all and sundry.
He therefore solicits the support of all, by paying their taxes, rates, levies to the coffers of the local government as we can not continue to rely on Federal Allocation.
