Neem Gents Club, a vibrant and growing social club in Abeokuta, celebrated its end-of-year party and family picnic at the prestigious Green Legacy Resorts in Abeokuta, over the weekend.
The event, which brought together Club members, families and friends, was marked by fun, unity, and the presentation of awards to deserving members.
While speaking with newsmen,the club’s President, Gent Sobowale Jonathan Olanrewaju, who is also a founding member, described the occasion as an opportunity to foster love and unity among members and their families.
“This end-of-year party and family picnic is aimed at bringing everyone together to share joy, build relationships, and have fun. Neem Gents Club is all about love, unity, and support among friends and family,” he stated.
The President commended the members for their contributions to the growth of the club, which is now four years old.
He expressed optimism for the club’s future, announcing plans for a grand celebration of its 5th anniversary next year. He also highlighted the club’s commitment to community service, stating, “With the little we have, we’ve impacted our community, helped the needy, and engaged in community service.”
One of the highlights of the event was the presence of Gent Adeola Ojomo, popularly known as Adex, who flew in from the United Kingdom to join the celebration.
Reflecting on the club’s humble beginnings, Adeola said, “I remember when we started under a tree during the COVID-19 period. What began as a joke has now grown into a remarkable organization making a significant impact in Abeokuta. I’m proud to be part of this family.”
He expressed confidence in the club’s future, saying, “2024 was a great year, but 2025 will be even greater with the plans laid out by our President and executives.”
The wives of Neem Gents Club members also shared their appreciation for the club’s values and activities. Mrs. Funke Sobowale, wife of the club’s President, praised the club for fostering brotherly love and inclusivity.
“The club has brought us all together as a family. The love and support among members and their families are admirable,” she said.
Miss Ashiru Oluwatoyin, wife of Gent Ashiru Olatunji, the club’s Social Director said “Neem Gents Club is a wonderful organization. The bond they share extends beyond their members to their families, both at home and in the diaspora.”
