OGIC Boss Urges Muslim Faithful to Focus on Prayer as Eid-el-Kabir Celebrations Begin

As Muslims in Nigeria celebrate Eid-el-Kabir, the CEO of Olageospatial Global Investment Company (OGIC), Surveyor Fashina Olajide, has urged the Muslim faithful to focus on prayer and reflection during the period.

In a statement released to felicitate with Muslims on the occasion, Fashina encouraged them to look beyond the merriment and festivities of the period and pray for peace, unity, and religious tolerance, which he believes are essential for the progress and development of the nation.

The OGIC boss noted that the Eid-el-Kabir celebration is a time to imbibe the virtues of Prophet Ibrahim, who demonstrated total submission and obedience to God's directive by almost sacrificing his only son.

Fashina also emphasized the importance of living in peace, harnessing the country's diversity, and exploring the numerous opportunities that God has endowed Nigeria with.

He urged Muslims to express their gratitude to God by living in peace and harmony with others.

“During this feast, we should ensure that we truly imbibe the virtues of Prophet Ibrahim, who, in obedience to God’s directive, almost sacrificed his only son.

“Beyond the sacrifice, we should also not relent in praying for peace, unity and religious tolerance, which are essential to sustaining the glory of the nation.”
