Eid-el-Kabir : Ogun Assembly Member, IWA Urges Muslims to Emulate Prophet Ibrahim's Virtues

A member of the Ogun State House of Assembly representing Abeokuta South Constituency ll, Honourable Igbalaye Wasiu Ayodele (IWA) has urged the Muslim community in the state to emulate the virtues of Prophet Ibrahim.

In a statement released to newsmen on Saturday, Hon. IWA congratulated the Muslim faithful on the occasion, praying that the celebration brings joy, peace, and prosperity to all.

The lawmaker noted that Eid-el-Kabir symbolizes the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his son, Ismail, in obedience to Allah's command, and urged Muslims to emulate the prophet's spirit of obedience, sacrifice, and devotion to faith.

Hon. IWA also appealed for unity, love, and harmony among all Nigerians, regardless of their religious beliefs or backgrounds.
He emphasized the importance of peaceful coexistence, saying that it is only through unity and harmony that the country can achieve its goals and develop rapidly.

The lawmaker also urged Muslims to use the occasion to reflect on their lives, seek forgiveness from Allah, and pray for the peace and progress of the country.

He called on the Muslim community to continue to uphold the values of compassion, generosity, and forgiveness, which are essential for building a better society.

IWA urged Nigerians to remain steadfast and committed to the cause of one, united and developed country.
"Truly, times are tough, I have no doubt that we shall overcome our present economic setback sooner , if we all commit to the ideals of nation building.

“I also enjoin every one of us to contribute in strengthening the bond of unity and oneness that exists among us. 

"I urged Muslims to use the occasion to reflect on their lives, seek forgiveness from Allah, and pray for the peace and progress of the country."
