TV-WEST, a solution-focused regional television network, has announced the official launch of its 24-hour bilingual broadcast service starting October 1, 2026.
Following a successful period of test transmissions, the network will begin round-the-clock programming across its expanding satellite and digital platforms.
Operating in both English and Yoruba, TV-WEST will offer a diverse programming lineup spanning news, current affairs, business, entertainment, culture, lifestyle, sports, and community development.
Speaking on the launch, Head of Operations Omolola Dorcas Adeoye described the transition to continuous broadcasting as a pivotal milestone.
“Following our successful test transmission, we are excited to officially begin 24-hour operations and bring our distinctive bilingual programming to viewers day and night,” Adeoye said. “Language is central to how communities connect. By broadcasting in both English and Yoruba, TV-WEST serves a broader audience while granting indigenous language and culture the visibility they deserve.”
Adeoye emphasized that the network aims to move beyond traditional broadcasting models by delivering actionable, impact-driven content.
“TV-WEST is built to tell local stories, amplify community voices, highlight economic opportunities, and deliver practical information that makes a tangible difference in people's lives,” she added.
Viewers can access TV-WEST 24/7 across multiple distribution channels, including NIGCOMSAT, FreeTV Studio, Naija TV, YouTube, Twitch, and various mobile digital platforms.
“Whether on satellite, digital television, or online platforms, we are committed to making our broadcasts easily accessible wherever and whenever our audience tunes in,” Adeoye stated. “We enter this new chapter with a clear commitment: to remain a trusted, relevant, and engaging voice for the region.”
