"Yayi A Grassroots Leader Ready to Serve Ogun"— Amb. Azeez Ayomikun Ibrahim

Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, has continued to attract growing attention across Ogun State as political stakeholders and residents assess the qualities required for effective leadership ahead of the 2027 governorship election.

Speaking on the senator’s political ambition with newsmen on Tuesday , the founder of Zee 1 for Yayi, Amb. Azeez Ayomikun Ibrahim, described Yayi as a politician whose experience, accessibility and connection with the grassroots position him as a strong candidate for the governorship of Ogun State.

According to Azeez, Yayi’s political journey has been defined by consistent engagement with the people and a commitment to initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of residents. He noted that leadership should be measured not only by political positions but also by the impact made on the lives of ordinary citizens.

Azeez said the people of Ogun State deserve a leader who understands their aspirations and is prepared to listen to their concerns. He maintained that Yayi has demonstrated the capacity to understand the challenges facing different communities and provide representation that prioritises development and empowerment.

“Yayi understands the people. He knows the communities, he listens to their concerns and he understands what our people expect from government. This is why we believe he has what it takes to provide purposeful leadership for Ogun State,” he said.

The Zee 1 for Yayi founder also called on supporters of the senator to intensify grassroots engagement ahead of the election, urging members to take the message of Yayi’s vision to communities, wards, CDAs and CDCs across the state.

He further appealed for unity among supporters, stressing that the movement would continue to promote peaceful and issue-based political participation while encouraging residents to make informed decisions based on candidates’ records, experience and proposed programmes.

Azeez expressed optimism about Yayi’s political future, saying Zee 1 for Yayi would remain committed to mobilising support and creating awareness about the senator’s vision for a more prosperous and inclusive Ogun State.

“2027 is about the future of Ogun State. We will continue to engage the people, listen to them and present the reasons why Senator Yayi deserves their support. Our mobilisation will be grassroots-driven, peaceful and focused on development,” he added.
