Yayi Faithful Boys Set to Hold Special Prayer Session for Senator Adeola, Sunday

A political support group, Yayi Faithful Boys, has announced plans to hold a special prayer session in honour of Olamilekan Solomon Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, following his emergence as the consensus governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The prayer gathering, scheduled for Sunday 10th of May 2026 and will take place at Ori-Omi , Abeokuta.

 The event is expected to attract members of the group, party faithful, and supporters from across the state who wish to offer prayers for the senator’s success ahead of the forthcoming gubernatorial election.

Speaking ahead of the event, the chairman of the group, Adekunle Oyatope, popularly known as Danku Yayi, said the initiative was conceived as a spiritual show of gratitude and support for the senator’s emergence as the party’s consensus candidate.
According to Danku, the prayer session is meant to appreciate God for what he described as a “historic and unifying decision” by the party leadership and stakeholders across the state.

“We are gathering to thank God for the emergence of Senator Adeola as the consensus candidate of our great party,” he said. This is a moment of joy and gratitude for all who believe in the future of our state.”

The group leader emphasized that the event would focus on prayers for wisdom, strength, and divine guidance for the senator as he prepares for the political journey ahead. 

"Leadership requires divine direction, and we believe prayers are the foundation for success,” he added.
Danku also expressed appreciation to the leadership of the APC for what he described as a transparent and inclusive process that produced the consensus candidate. 

"We sincerely appreciate the party for listening to the voice of the people and choosing Senator Adeola,” he noted.

He described the decision as a demonstration of unity and commitment to the progress of the state, stating that the choice of Adeola reflects the confidence of party stakeholders in his capacity to lead.

“Our party has once again shown that unity and progress remain our guiding principles. We believe Senator Adeola has the experience and vision to move the state forward.”

The Yayi Faithful Boys chairman further called on residents and party supporters to attend the prayer session in large numbers, stressing that the gathering is open to everyone regardless of political affiliation.
“As we prepare for the future, we invite all well-meaning citizens to join us in praying for peace, unity, and progress for our state,” he said. “Together, we can build a brighter tomorrow.”
