The Executive Chairman of Obafemi Owode Local Government, Amb. Adesina ‘Lanre Ogunsola, has congratulated Solomon Olamilekan Adeola on his emergence as the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Ogun State, describing the development as the beginning of a new political era for the state.
In a congratulatory statement issued on Tuesday, Ogunsola said Adeola’s endorsement by party leaders across the state reflects his dedication, loyalty, and commitment to collective progress.
“The glory of the latter day shall be greater than the former. Your emergence as the consensus candidate is not a mirage but a shared testimony to your loyalty, hard work, and dedication to the party and the people,” Ogunsola said.
He described the consensus arrangement as historic, noting that it signals unity and renewed hope within the party ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
“This moment marks the beginning of a new era in Ogun’s political landscape. Party leaders sat together in unity and joyfully agreed to present you as the governorship candidate and, by God’s grace, the next governor of our dear state in 2027,” he added.
Ogunsola also commended Governor Dapo Abiodun for what he called visionary leadership and political stability in the state.
“Governor Abiodun has proven himself a mentor and a bridge builder. He has rewritten the history of leadership transition in the state by fostering peace, unity, and harmony within the party.”
He further praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for strengthening the party and providing direction through the Renewed Hope agenda.
“Your leadership has reshaped the party and built a solid structure that cannot be defeated. The Renewed Hope agenda remains a roadmap worthy of study.”
The council chairman urged party members and residents of Obafemi Owode Local Government and the entire state to rally behind Adeola’s candidacy.
“I appeal to all good people of Obafemi Owode and Ogun State to join hands and support Senator Adeola’s candidature for a better future. Together, we shall achieve victory for our party and the people.”
