Good Friday: Emmanuel Soyoola Urges Christians to Reflect on Sacrifice, Love

Ogun Central Senatorial aspirant, Emmanuel Olusola Soyoola, has called on Christians across Nigeria to use the solemn occasion of Good Friday as a time for deep reflection, sacrifice, and renewed commitment to godly living.

In a statement released to newsmen on Friday, Soyoola described Good Friday as a powerful reminder of the love, humility, and sacrifice demonstrated by Jesus Christ for humanity.

He urged believers to embrace the lessons of the season and translate them into actions that promote peace, unity, and compassion in society.

He stressed that the message of Good Friday should inspire Nigerians to show kindness to one another and remain hopeful despite the nation’s challenges.

“Good Friday reminds us of the ultimate sacrifice made out of love for mankind. It is a day that calls for sober reflection, humility, and a renewed commitment to selflessness and service to humanity,” Soyoola said.

He encouraged Christians to use the period to pray for the country, its leaders, and communities, noting that collective prayers and righteous actions can contribute to national healing and progress.

Soyoola further emphasized the importance of forgiveness and reconciliation, urging citizens to let go of bitterness and embrace unity as a pathway to building a stronger and more peaceful Nigeria.

“As we reflect on this sacred day, let us extend love to our neighbours, support the vulnerable, and work together to build a nation founded on justice, peace, and mutual respect,” he added.

He wished Christians a peaceful Good Friday and Easter celebration, expressing optimism that the season would bring renewed faith, joy, and blessings to families across the country.
