Amb. Habeeb Whyte Becomes Sabo Stayte Association Chairman, Unveils JAMB Scholarship, Borehole Projects


Barr. Habeeb Whyte, Esq. has emerged as the Chairman of the Sabo Stayte Association and has already begun rolling out impactful initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of residents in the Sabo community in Abeokuta North Local Government of Ogun State.

Within a short period of assuming office, the chairman facilitated JAMB scholarship opportunities for 20 students of Government Schools in the community, a move widely praised as a major boost for education and youth development.

Bar. Habeeb also revealed that plans already underway for the installation of 4 boreholes across the community to improve access to clean and safe water for residents.

Speaking with newsmen via telephone on Friday, the Chairman said his leadership is committed to delivering tangible results, as he appreciated the confidence and trust the people of the community bestowed on him.
“We promised to serve and make a difference. Education and access to basic amenities remain top priorities for this administration,” he stated.

The chairman noted that the scholarship initiative was designed to ease the financial burden on families while encouraging students to pursue higher education. 

“Our young people deserve opportunities, and we will continue to invest in their future. In the same vein, our elderly parents in the community deserve an improved lifestyles" he said.

On the borehole project, he explained that the initiative was in response to the long-standing water challenges being faced by residents. According to him, the installations will significantly improve hygiene, health, and daily living conditions.

Meanwhile, the chairman had constituted numerous committee to oversee the activities of the association for the next one year, assigning members various responsibilities to strengthen coordination and ensure effective implementation of programmes. 

The committees include the Project Committee, Educational Reforms Committee, Football Competition Committee, Secretariat/Office Committee, Courtesy Visit Committee, Community Dialogue Committee, and Public Relations Committee.

Habeeb Whyte urged the committee members to work with dedication and unity, emphasizing that collective effort is key to achieving sustainable development within the community.
