The initiative, which has reached several households across the city, is aimed at alleviating the burden on vulnerable residents as they observe the fasting period. Beneficiaries described the gesture as timely, especially amid rising economic challenges.
Speaking during the distribution exercise on Tues,Monsuru emphasized that Ramadan is a season of compassion, generosity, and service to humanity.
He noted that giving back to society, particularly to those in need, remains a core value of his organization.
“Ramadan teaches us to care for one another, to share what we have, and to uplift those who are struggling. This outreach is our own little way of supporting our community,” he said.
The CEO further disclosed that the outreach is not a one-off effort, revealing that over 300 food items were also distributed just a day before the latest exercise, bringing relief to even more families across Abeokuta.
According to him, the food packs include essential consumables such as rice, noodles, spaghetti, semovita, sugar, salt, seasoning, and cooking oil, carefully put together to meet the immediate needs of beneficiaries.
“We are committed to ensuring that as many families as possible can break their fast with dignity and without worry. Yesterday, we reached over 300 people, and today we have extended that number even further,” Monsuru added.
Some of the beneficiaries, who spoke with journalists, could not hide their joy, offering prayers for the CEO and his organization. A resident, Mr Adewale Durogbade described the gesture as a lifeline.
“This support means a lot to us. Feeding our families has not been easy, but today we are grateful. May Almighty Allah continue to bless and reward him,” he said.
