Ogun Lawmaker, Tella Congratulates Hon. Adejumo ‘Motun’ on His Appointment as Special Assistant

The lawmaker representing Abeokuta North State Constituency in the Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. Babatunde Tella, has congratulated Hon. Adesina Adejumo, popularly known as Motun, on his appointment as Special Assistant by the Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun.

Tella, in a statement made available to journalists in Abeokuta on Saturday lauded the governor for finding Adejumo worthy of the appointment, describing the decision as a recognition of loyalty, dedication and commitment to the ruling party.

Hon. Adejumo, fondly called Motun, hails from Ward 15, Ilewo/Isaga Orile in Abeokuta North Local Government Area of the state. His appointment as Special Assistant was announced on March 2, 2025.

The appointment was contained in an official letter signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Tokunbo Talabi, confirming the governor’s approval.

While congratulating the new appointee, Tella noted that the appointment of Motun would further strengthen grassroots political mobilization and governance in the local government area.

The lawmaker also appreciated Governor Abiodun for honouring Motun, whom he described as a loyal and committed member of the All Progressives Congress.

Tella further commended the APC Organising Secretary in the state, Yemi Adelani Igwe, for his role and recommendation which contributed to the governor’s decision to appoint Adejumo.

He added that the governor’s decision to appoint Motun was a strategic move that would consolidate his administration’s leadership and strengthen the party’s structure at the grassroots across Abeokuta North.
