The decision was reached on Monday following an expansive consultative meeting where members of the group unanimously declared Ishola. "TJ" as their preferred candidate.
This endorsement joins a growing wave of support from various stakeholders within the constituency who view his candidacy as a catalyst for grassroots transformation.
In a statement released and signed by the Director General of the movement, Hon. Ibrahim Abiodun Jinadu a respected political figure and former aspirant for the Ogun State House of Assembly in 2023, the group described the endorsement as a "necessary alignment of vision."
“Our decision to throw our full weight behind Hon. TJ is rooted in a careful assessment of his track record,” Jinadu stated.
“He has consistently demonstrated a unique brand of visionary leadership and a profound commitment to public service. His antecedents show a man who upholds the highest standards of integrity and has a clear roadmap for the development of the Abeokuta North State Constituency.”
Hon. Jinadu further emphasised that the IBA Political Movement is looking beyond mere rhetoric, focusing instead on a candidate capable of delivering tangible dividends of democracy.
He noted that Hon. TJ’s aspirations align perfectly with the movement’s mission to foster sustainable growth, youth empowerment, and infrastructure development in the region.
“This is the way to go for our people,” Jinadu added. “We are not just supporting a candidate; we are investing in a vision that prioritizes the welfare of every constituent. We call on all well-meaning sons and daughters of Abeokuta North to join this moving train as we work toward a more prosperous 2027.”
The IBA Political Movement, known for its grassroots mobilization and advocacy, has pledged to begin immediate outreach programs to sensitize voters on the merits of Hon. TJ’s candidacy, signaling an early but robust start to the 2027 legislative race.
