His Royal Majesty, Ọba (Dr.) Adeṣina Fakayọde Faluade, Aníkinníkùn Olú Ọba I, the Olú of Ibogun Balogun Kingdom, has congratulated Oba Michael Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo,the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, on his newly assumed position as a rotational chairman of the Ogun State Council of Obas.
Oba Faluade disclosed this in a statement issued to newsmen on Wednesday describing the Alake’s appointment as well-deserved, noting that Oba Gbadebo’s decades of leadership, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to the preservation of Egba heritage continue to earn him national and global respect.
He commended the Ogun State Council of Obas for upholding rotational representation, which he said strengthens unity, fairness, and inclusiveness across the traditional institution in the state.
“Kabiyesi Alake has always demonstrated exemplary leadership and a deep understanding of cultural governance. His inclusion as a rotational member will undoubtedly enrich discussions and decisions within the council,” Oba Faluade said.
The Olú of Ibogun Balogun Kingdom described the Alake as a pillar of traditional authority whose voice carries wisdom, moderation, and progressiveness qualities needed to further advance traditional administration in Ogun State.
Oba Faluade also reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to supporting all traditional rulers across Ogun State in their collective efforts to promote peace, development, and cultural continuity within their domains.
He prayed for continued strength, wisdom, and divine guidance for the Alake as he takes on this important responsibility.
“May Kabiyesi continue to reign in good health and may his leadership bring greater harmony and development to Egbaland and Ogun State at large,” he added.
