Abeokuta North APC Chairman Celebrates Christians at Christmas

The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abeokuta North Local Government Area of Ogun State, Alhaja Faidat Sarumi Akintunde, has extended warm Christmas greetings to Christians across the local government and the state at large.

In a statement issued to the press on Wednesday, Alhaja Faidat congratulated Christians on the successful celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, describing the season as one of love, peace, and selfless service to humanity.

She noted that Christmas offers a unique opportunity for reflection on the virtues of humility, sacrifice, and compassion, which she said remain essential for peaceful coexistence and community development.

The APC chairman urged Christians to use the festive period to pray for unity, progress, and sustainable peace in Abeokuta North, Ogun State, and Nigeria as a whole.

According to her, the teachings of Christ emphasize love for one another, forgiveness, and tolerance, values she described as critical in addressing social, political, and economic challenges facing the nation.

Alhaja Akintunde commended Christians in the local government for their consistent contributions to moral upbringing, education, and community development, noting that their efforts have positively impacted society.
