In his Congratulatory message issued to newsmen on Friday, Ambassador Whyte expressed optimism that Afolabi’s administration will build on the existing foundation of student leadership in MAPOLY and foster a vibrant atmosphere for academic excellence, student inclusiveness, and welfare advancement.
Ambassador Whyte, who has been at the forefront of youth engagement in Ogun State, emphasized the importance of student leadership as a training ground for future political and community leaders.
He urged Afolabi to remain focused, accountable, and visionary in the discharge of his responsibilities.
“It is indeed a proud moment for us in Ogun Youth Assembly to see one of our own, Comrade Afolabi Temitope, attaining this remarkable feat. His victory is not just for MAPOLY students but for the entire youth constituency in Ogun State,” Whyte stated.
The Chairman also reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to supporting student bodies across the state saying that the success of student leaders contributes significantly to the grooming of responsible future leaders who will take up larger roles in governance and community development.
He commended MAPOLY students for conducting themselves peacefully during the electoral process, describing their conduct as a demonstration of maturity and readiness to uphold democratic values.
Ambassador Whyte further called on the new SUG President to see his victory as an opportunity to unite the student body, promote inclusiveness, and provide a voice for all, regardless of affiliations.
He prayed for Afolabi’s success in office, stressing that the Ogun Youth Assembly is proud of his achievement and will continue to stand by him in his quest to serve his fellow students diligently.
