Speaking with newsmen after the donation on Monday in Ilaro, the wife of the deceased, Mrs Akinlade, appreciated family and friends for their unflinching support since the death of her beloved husband, who would have turned 70 on Sunday, 17th August 2025.
She noted that the late husband died on 7th September, 2024, an occasion we looked forward to before his death on 7th September, 2024.
" To commemorate his post houmous 70th birthday and one year remembrance, the children and decided to carry out a charity programme tagged "70 back to school kits for 70 indigent primary school children within Ilaro community.
" This gesture is in memory of late Elder Festus Olayiwola Akinlade"
" The items contained in each back to school kits include one pair of school uniforms , one pair of school sandals, and
one school bag.
" All items have been procured, and the beneficiaries already selected from U A M C School 1, Ilaro , U A M C School 2, Ilaro , Christ Church School, Ilaro and United African Church School, Congo, Ilaro," she said.
She prayed that God would grant everyone long life and sound health to live prosperous lives in Jesus' mighty name.
