President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Rinsola Abiola as the new Director-General of the Citizenship and Leadership Training Centre (CLTC).
Abiola, who previously served as Senior Special Assistant to the President on Citizenship and Leadership since November 2023, announced her appointment in a statement describing it as further proof of the President’s commitment to empowering and supporting Nigerian youths and women.
Expressing gratitude to President Tinubu for the opportunity, the new DG pledged to deliver on the task assigned to her and implement critical reforms needed at the CLTC.
“ I have worked to support CLTC since my appointment as SSAP C&L; the agency requires important reforms, and being appointed to serve as DG to implement and see these reforms through is an honour and vote of confidence that I am deeply grateful for” She said.
Abiola also appreciated the Honourable Minister for Youth Development, Comrade Ayodele Olawande, for his support since her initial appointment, noting that she looked forward to working under his leadership at the Federal Ministry of Youth Development to usher in a new phase at CLTC in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of the President.
She reaffirmed her commitment to service, stating, “By Allah’s grace, I will deliver on the task that has been assigned to me. So help us God.”
