The advocacy drive of the NYSC Ogun State Coordinator, Mrs. Olayinka Diana Nasamu, has again yielded remarkable results as her recent visit to SANY Group, a global leader in the heavy machinery industry, opened fresh opportunities for Corps Members in the State.
During the visit, Mrs. Nasamu commended the company for its exemplary welfare package for Corps Members posted to its establishment, noting that beyond offering attractive monthly allowances, the management treats them as full members of staff.
She also extended an invitation to the Director, Mr. David Lee, to personally witness the Orientation Camp programmes and experience the transformative process of Corps Member development.
In his remarks, Mr. Lee warmly received the State Coordinator and her team, affirming the company’s readiness to partner with NYSC Ogun in bridging the gap between classroom learning and practical industry experience.
He revealed that the collaboration would kick off with a Graduate Trainee Programme for ten Corps Member engineers, who will undergo a one-year intensive training to attain world-class industry standards. Outstanding trainees, he added, could be deployed to any of SANY Group’s branches across Africa and beyond.
Elated by the development, Mrs. Nasamu applauded the company’s forward-thinking initiative, describing it as a model for youth development in Nigeria. She reaffirmed NYSC’s commitment to producing well-groomed, disciplined, and resourceful graduates, charging Corps Members to justify the confidence reposed in them by being worthy ambassadors of the Scheme, their families, and the nation.
The latest milestone adds to the growing list of successful partnerships secured through the Coordinator’s proactive stakeholder engagement, a move stakeholders have widely praised as positioning Ogun State as a hub for youth empowerment and employability.
