The operation, which was triggered by credible intelligence regarding a robbery at Apomu, along Lagos/Abeokuta Expressway, where Messrs Dada Oluwaseun (29) and Oluwajuwonlo Moshood (24), were violently attacked while performing their lawful duties as tricycle operators, led to the arrest of the above named five (5) suspects in Oke-Lemo in Papalanto and Apomu, in the Ifo and Ewekoro local government areas of Ogun State.
The victims, who later identified Olabode Yusuf and Clement Samuel as the primary perpetrators, both of whom have previously been involved in criminal activities in the area, recounted a harrowing experience where they were attacked by the suspects, who fired a locally-made pistol and shattered their tricycle windshields, leading to severe injuries and the loss of valuables including mobile phones and cash.

The magnitude of the criminals’ actions is further demonstrated by the destructive damage inflicted on the victims’ tricycles and the psychological trauma endured.
Upon further investigations, the suspects, identified as “customs camp boys,” were found to be in possession of a locally-made pistol, charms, and jackknife which were allegedly used in the commission of the crime.
