Directed by the trio of Femi Adebayo, Adebayo Tijani, and Tope Adebayo, Seven Doors tells the gripping story of King Adedunjoye, a reluctant monarch burdened by a generational curse. To break the curse, he must marry six more wives—despite his deep love for his wife, Amaka, played by Chioma Chukwuka. The series is a rich exploration of tradition, sacrifice, and destiny.
Held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, the AMVCA11 ceremony brought together Africa’s finest stars and industry professionals to celebrate excellence in film and television. The event also honoured industry veterans Sani Mu’azu and Nkem Owoh with the Lifetime Achievement Awards, while director Kayode Kasum received the Trailblazer Award for his innovative impact on African cinema.
Seven Doors further showcased its artistic strength by winning Best Score/Music, credited to Tolu Obanro.
Another standout production of the night was Lisabi: The Uprising, starring Lateef Adedimeji, which bagged multiple awards including Best Indigenous Language (West Africa), Best Makeup, and Best Art Direction.
