The endorsement came during a well-attended meeting held at the Idi-Emi/Anigbado zone on Sunday where community leaders and residents gathered to discuss the political future of the state.
The meeting, which reflected the growing grassroots momentum behind Senator Yayi’s ambition, was led by notable figures in the zone.
Chief Akande Abijak, the recognized leader of the Idi-Emi/Anigbado zone, and Hon. Olajube Ponmile coordinated the gathering, emphasizing the community’s readiness to mobilize support in favour of the Senator.
Speaking during the event, Chief Akande Abijak described Senator Yayi as a man of vision, experience, and commitment to development.
He stated that Ogun State needs a leader who understands governance at every level and has the political will to continue to move the state forward.
Hon. Olajube Ponmile, while addressing the attendees, reiterated the community’s confidence in Yayi’s capacity to deliver good governance.
According to him, Senator Yayi’s track record, both as a federal lawmaker and a public servant, has shown that he possesses the qualities required to steer Ogun State toward greater prosperity.
Other prominent leaders of Ward 14, including Mr. Akintade Samson and Chief Ojumo, were also present at the meeting. They individually expressed their full support for Yayi’s governorship ambition and urged all residents to remain united and committed to the cause.
Mr. Akintade Samson highlighted that Ward 14 has always played an active role in shaping the political direction of Abeokuta North and Ogun State at large.
He expressed optimism that with collective effort, Ward 14 would once again be pivotal in determining the outcome of the 2027 gubernatorial election.
Chief Ojumo, in his remarks, called for continuous engagement and sensitization of the residents to ensure that the support for Senator Yayi translates into actual votes at the polls.
He encouraged all political stakeholders to remain vigilant and strategic in their mobilization efforts.
